Syngonium Scrambled Eggs – A Vibrant Syngonium with Unique Yellow Variegation

Syngonium Scrambled Eggs is a rare and visually striking Syngonium, known for its bold yellow variegation mixed with deep green foliage. This fast-growing, vining plant makes an excellent choice for hanging baskets, trellises, or climbing arrangements.

A Unique Blend of Golden Hues and Deep Green

  • Features large, arrowhead-shaped leaves with bright yellow, lime, and green variegation, resembling scrambled eggs.
  • The variegation pattern varies from speckled to marbled, ensuring each plant is one of a kind.
  • Can be grown as a compact bush, a trailing vine, or a climber with the right support.

How to Care for Syngonium Scrambled Eggs

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light—low light may reduce variegation.
  • Watering: Keep soil lightly moist, allowing the top inch to dry before watering.
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity—misting can enhance its vibrant coloring.
  • Soil: Requires a well-draining potting mix with added perlite and peat moss.
  • Fertilization: A diluted liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks encourages healthy growth.

Aerial Roots and Growth Potential

  • Develops small aerial roots, allowing it to attach to supports like moss poles.
  • Can be pruned regularly to maintain a bushy shape or trained to climb for larger leaves.

Common Problems and Solutions

  • Fading variegation: Due to insufficient light—move to a brighter area.
  • Yellowing leaves: A sign of overwatering—ensure soil dries slightly between waterings.
  • Slow growth: May result from nutrient deficiencies—fertilize regularly for steady development.

With its bold yellow-green variegation, climbing ability, and adaptable growth, Syngonium Scrambled Eggs is a standout addition to any rare Syngonium collection.

awesome plants

I run a small US-based nursery out of my home, and have ordered nearly 200 plants from Noka in the past six months. Her prices are super competitive, they take about a month to come in (the bulk of that is to get the import certificate, it's usually just a few days in the mail). Communication is great, and mostly the plants are as well. Sometimes they come in looking a little beat up, and have had a very small number not make it, but overall they are healthy, well rooted specimens packaged with care. Love dealing with her.

The scrambled eggs plant I got is on the smaller side, and was purchased for $110 (before price drop and sale) and even seeing it here on sale for $40 I'm super happy with my purchase.
