Kollektion: Anthurium

The Anthurium genus, part of the Araceae family, consists of over 1,000 species of tropical plants native to Central and South America. Known for their striking foliage and vibrant spathes, they thrive in humid, forested environments. Their name derives from the Greek words "anthos" (flower) and "oura" (tail), referencing their tail-like spadix surrounded by a colorful spathe, often mistaken for the flower.

Popular Anthurium species include A. andraeanum and A. crystallinum. A. andraeanum is celebrated for its heart-shaped leaves and glossy red, white, or pink spathes, while A. crystallinum is admired for its velvety foliage with striking white veins.

These plants prefer bright, indirect light and well-draining, airy soil. High humidity (above 60%) and temperatures between 18–30°C (65–86°F) are ideal. They are sensitive to overwatering and benefit from regular misting and balanced fertilization.

In addition to their ornamental appeal, Anthurium plants are also recognized for their air-purifying properties, making them a favorite for indoor gardens. However, they are toxic if ingested, requiring caution around pets and children
